Bank accounts aren’t the sexiest of things, so when Smarter.Money asked me to help them brand an alternative to the ‘normal’ bank account, I knew the design needed to work extra-hard to capture people’s attention.
For their new E-account, they wanted branding that looked professional and trustworthy, but at the same time felt nonintimidating and less corporate than a high street bank.
Working with the technical team, I designed the web graphics and improved the layout, then liaised with printers to produce a welcome pack and other literature I also designed.
It certainly ruffled some feathers in the market – the start-up was bought by a competitor after just 18 months.
